Memorial Day Weekend

Warm weather won't show it's face here in Oregon so, for Memorial Day weekend the in-laws said screw it and opened up the pool anyway! On Friday it was 57 degrees...... but the pool was 84. This was the scene outside of the pool.....

And here's what it looked like IN the pool...

The rest of the evening was filled with these three cousins running around singing "na na na BATMAN"!

Grandma did her best spoiling making cookies, which had to be served with ice cream - of course - followed by popcorn and a movie in bed.

We stayed the night so we could get some extra time with Joel and Camie who were in town. The boys continued their fun while "helping" Bapa with his projects outside.

More cousins showed up for some hide 'n' seek. Pretty comical watching 2-4 year olds play that game. Good thing they have some older cousins to show them the ropes.

Thanks for coming to visit Joel! Made for a great party weekend! We'll miss you!

Pretty great to be 28!

I've decided I'm never going to feel old. When you are the youngest of 9 in your family and then you marry a man 4 years older than you, you never feel old.

This year I got spoiled big time for my bday. To start it off, I spent the weekend before with these fantastic ladies! Yes, the WHOLE weekend... no kids.... 3 hours away from home. Awesome.
We stayed at my friend Haley's parents home in Black Butte (near Bend, OR). Absolutely gorgeous! We were spoiled with good food (thankfully some of the ladies like to cook), relaxation, and hours of chatting and laughing. The ladies got to see my uncontrollable laugh/cry more than once. Such a blast!

I mean SERIOUSLY good food. (thanks Laura!)
On Saturday evening we cruised the streets of Bend then made our way to Typhoon for yummy Thai food.

We got home Sunday evening tired from staying up late but happy as can be! A great pre-bday party!

On my actually birthday, Dan decorated like a champ.....

Which included a cute bday note on the mirror....

Then he made us all a delicious breakfast ....
He took Andrew to get me some gifts the day before. I scored a set of erasers, a pez dispenser, and a giant frog pen. That kid sure knows my tastes!!

Dan and I were able to steal away for lunch at our favorite Korean food restaurant. We then hoped over to the mall, ordered me some bright red Toms, then made our way over to the Cheesecake Factory for some banana cream cheesecake! Delicious!
That night we enjoyed an amazing evening at the park with some of our friends. I love these people!
We even got to play a little catch. The pregnant ladies and all!

Absolutely stellar day! Thanks to all my family and friends for making me feel wonderfully special!

This wasn't on my birthday but I still wanted to share some cute pics of the kids outside our house on a pretty amazing evening. I LOVE this private driveway we live on. Makes for a great place for bike/walker cruising!

And occasionally Jimmy gets daring enough to let go!

Photoshoot

I did a fun photoshoot for our church young women's group. Such an ideal night. You can't find a more beautiful setting. You can see more on my photography blog.
